Filed in archive Porsche on July 26, 2010

Porsche 911 GT2 RS is the most powerful road-going and the fastest Porsche ever. It has a horsepower of 620 and its time is seven minutes eighteen seconds on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. This Porsche is the last variant of the 997-series.It's over 150 lb lighter than the next-rung-down GT2.
The variable geometry twin-turbo chargers, horizontally-opposed six cylinder develops 620 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque with a curb weight just a tick over 3,000 lbs. That means every horsepower only has to lug around 4.8 lbs. Carbon ceramic brakes causes the high acceleration speed to come to a halt. Inside the Porsche there are carbon fiber seats, lighter doors and panels. There are door opening straps instead of door handles.
Limited to just 500 units worldwide, the 911 GT2 RS will be available in the U.S. in October and will have an asking price of $245,000.The GT2 RS is making its world debut at the Moscow Auto Show on August 25.
